Assessment with Integrity

AIM Awards have over thirty years experience in assessment and qualifications. We are recognised by Ofqual to offer regulated qualifications, of which we have over 400, and by the QAA to validate Access to HE Diplomas. We work locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, priding ourselves on offering the best possible customer service to all of our customers regardless of size.

AIM Awards has had a strong, purposeful and ongoing relationship with employers, particularly in the creative industries, offering and developing assessments and qualifications in Games, VFX, Interactive Media, Live Events, Theatre and Interior Design. In 2014 we were asked to work with over 120 employers across the games, animation and visual effects industries via the NextGen Skills Academy to create a new Level 3 Extended Diploma Qualification in Games, Animation and VFX Skills and a range of Apprenticeships, which subsequently won ‘Qualification of the Year’ in the 2016 Federation of Awarding Bodies awards. The award was in recognition for “allowing young people to develop exciting careers in the digital creative industries, whilst also providing employers with a dynamic talent pool of skilled individuals that will enable them to grow successful businesses”.

Since then our close employer relationships enabled our successful entry on to the register of apprentice assessment organisations in May 2017 at our first attempt, for the Assistant Technical Director - Visual Effects and Junior 2D Artist standards.

What else we can offer

Alongside our work in assessment we offer a wide range of qualifications in a range of sectors. We advocate that employees need to be fully rounded individuals, so many of our qualifications include specialist modules in behaviour and employability skills.

We are also a provider of online learning to support some of our qualifications.

How it works

Assessment with Integrity starts with dual professionalism: our team are experts in their industry and trained in assessment. This approach is at the heart of our work, giving you confidence that we are doing things properly. We are constantly developing our networks with industry and education, refining our approach and listening to our customers.

We work with our assessors to interpret the assessment plans written by employers, creating final assessment tasks, sample papers, guidance materials and handbooks.

Our approach extends to our costing model, meaning that there are no surprise charges or hidden fees. We will list a per-apprentice price for each end point assessment which will be fully inclusive of our support materials and the only thing we will charge any more for will be a re-take of an assessment (assuming re-takes are permitted in the assessment plan).

What support will you give me?

We will provide an Employer Handbook, a Training Provider Handbook and an Apprentice Handbook for each end point assessment we offer. Additionally we will provide sample assessments and mock exam papers.
